Last night on Ultimate Fighter - the comeback, it was Phonie Carter vs Matt Serra. First of all, the clown bit was hilarious. I was killing myself. But down to the fight:
Round 1:
Matt Serra came out strong, very strong. It looked like he was going to walk all over Shonie, but of course you don't have as many fights as Shonie does without knowing how to get up off the ground. At the end of the round Shonie caught Matt with a spinning backfist (deja - vu ). This time, however Matt was able to survive. At this point, it looks like it's gonna be a great match... a real war.
Round 1 was close ... could have gone either way.
Round 2
Both fighters seemed a little relaxed in this round (not in a good way). Were they tired? Matt Serra really had to use everything he had to take Shonie down (unlike the first round). I'm starting to wonder in this fight if Matt's muscle is causing him to gas early. I give this round to Matt, but only by a little.
Round 3
Ok, the real fighters are back, a little more action(and more of the same) with Matt more or less dominating this round. I give the third to Matt.
All in all a great fight. I wish Matt all the best in a final against Chris Lytle, but I fear Chris has too much for him. Of course I don't think either of them will be able to beat Matt Hughes or Georges St Pierre. But I sure want to see them try.
To finish, here's a video of a girl eating a praying mantis...it's some sort of bet to get some guys to go to church!
